Keep a recovery copy

Open Me, then Settings, then Privacy & backup. Choose Encrypted backup & restore. Keep the backup and its passphrase somewhere safe. We can't recover a forgotten backup passphrase.

Writing is stored on your phone. Automatic sync is still being built. Save a recovery copy before removing the app or changing phones.

Restore a deleted page

Open Journal and tap the Trash icon. Deleted pages can be restored for seven days. After that they are removed from the active journal vault when the app next processes expired items. Copies you've exported are separate.

Delete your account

Open Me, then Settings, then Account, then Review account deletion. Read the confirmation before continuing. This removes your server account and its server copies. Your encrypted writing stays on the phone with a device-authenticated recovery path.

For help removing server data or reporting a shared post, contact support. Never send us your password, backup passphrase, or private journal pages.
